Bike transport in Bonn and Cologne
Bought second-hand, going to the repair shop or stranded with a flat tyre: how your bike gets where it needs to go.
Typical cases
- Bought second-hand: The bike is at the seller's and you can't collect it yourself. You book with the seller's address as the pickup and pay; the seller never pays anything.
- To the repair shop and back: two bookings, one for the way there and one for the way back once the bike is ready.
- Stranded: flat tyre, broken chain, bent wheel. We pick it up at the address where it is.
- Moving house: The bike has to come to the new flat but won't fit in the boot.
Preparation
- Remove or tie down bags, baskets and loose parts.
- If the bike is locked up, make sure someone with the key is there at pickup, or unlock it beforehand.
- Air in the tyres makes it easier to push. Even with a flat, the bike can still be carried.
- Measure the length of the bike. An adult bike is usually 170 to 190 cm long.
Which size?
An adult bike is longer than the 120 cm of size Large (L), so book Bulky items. Depending on its dimensions, we move it by cargo bike with a Zemmi trailer or in the electric van. A children's bike often fits in Large (L). Enter the length and weight when booking and you'll see what fits.
E-bikes and batteries
We take e-bikes with the battery fitted. We do not transport loose batteries. An e-bike usually weighs 22 to 28 kg, a cargo bike considerably more. If the bike weighs more than 40 kg, we come as a team of two.
Take off the display and charger and keep them with you, if they can be removed.

- Pickup from the seller, the repair shop or wherever the bike broke down.
- Over 40 kg, for example with cargo bikes, we always come as a team of two.
- We are liable for goods worth up to €500 at no extra charge, and up to €5,000 for a surcharge.
- Fixed price in the booking or a quote within 2 hours on working days.
